Rose Flanagan and Friends
Rose Flanagan is one of the leading Irish fiddle players in North America. She grew up in the Bronx, a daughter of immigrants from County Tyrone, and together with her brother Brian Conway learned her music from Limerick fiddle teacher Martin Mulvihill and the County Sligo fiddle great Martin Wynne. She has gone on to become a renowned performer, recording artist and music teacher in her own right. For this concert, Rose is stepping up to replace County Louth fiddle player Gerry O'Connor, who was forced to cancel his planned tour due to visa issues. Rose will be joined by some of her many accomplished musical friends, including fellow teachers from the Pearl River school of Irish music.
